More Rehearsals and Performance Info!

Good evening!


It's been so great to see your dancers rehearsing at the studio! An updated cast list and rehearsal schedule is attached with dates through Saturday, November 1st.  As always, please check carefully for the dates/times that correspond with your dancer's roles and don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.  If you know your dancer will be absent from a rehearsal, please let me know in advance as rehearsal time is limited with only 6 Saturdays of rehearsals to go.


We are working on getting the remainder of the rehearsal schedule (up until the show weekend) out as soon as possible!  In the meantime, please save the following dates that all dancers are expected to attend.

  • December 6th: full run-through at the studio

  • December 12th: dress rehearsal at Solano Community College, 

  • December 13th and 14th: performances at Solano Community College


I would also like to remind everyone that volunteer positions still need to be filled!  There are lots of volunteer positions to choose from and anyone in your family can help - grandparents, teenage siblings, family friends.  We appreciate everyone's help!

We also have a Nutcracker photoshoot November 2nd and 16th at the studio! Sign up for a time slot here!! 


With the show dates approaching, I recommend that you start getting any supplies your dancer will need for the performance.  This includes clean, pink tights with no holes or runs for girls. More information to come about costume requirements for boys. Little Party Girls, Soldiers, Angels, and Lambs may wear their light pink or light blue class leotard under their costumes, but all other dancers will need a skin-toned leotard to wear under costumes, so you will want to get one ahead of time.  We have one available on the Benicia Ballet store along with other dancewear supplies: https://beniciaballettheatre.logodancewear.com/.  The proceeds from our store all go directly to helping our productions and scholarship fund!  Amazon also has one with a few different skin-toned options here: https://a.co/d/82uJdUQ.  They can also be purchased at Contra Costa Dancewear in Walnut Creek, or on discountdance.com.  


Lastly, we have been uploading videos of rehearsals to the BBT Youtube channel.  This is a great tool to help with remembering choreography and practicing tricky parts of the dance!  Please remember not to share these videos with anyone outside of BBT or to social media.  It is a private channel used for rehearsal purposes only.
