Good afternoon!
October is wrapping up and rehearsals are in full swing! Attached is the rehearsal schedule through the end of November. The following Saturday, December 6th, is our full run through rehearsal at the studio, which all cast members will be expected to attend, so please save the date for that as the exact times are still TBD. As always, please check carefully for the dates/times that correspond with your dancer's roles and don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. If you know your dancer will be absent from a rehearsal, please let me know in advance as rehearsal time is limited.
I have also attached an updated cast list. Please check this list carefully to ensure your dancer’s name is spelled correctly. This will be the list that is used in our program.
Save the date and invite your friends and family to our four performances at Solano Community College: Saturday, December 13th at 1:00pm and 5:00pm and Sunday, December 14th at 11:00am and 3:00pm. It is a lovely production for all ages and a great way to get into the holiday spirit! Information on tickets and call times coming soon.
I would also like to remind everyone that volunteer positions still need to be filled! There are lots of volunteer positions to choose from and anyone in your family can help - grandparents, teenage siblings, family friends. We appreciate everyone's help!

With the show dates approaching, I recommend that you start getting any supplies your dancer will need for the performance. This includes clean, pink tights with no holes or runs for girls, and the same in white for boys. We also ask that the black lambs provide a black long sleeve shirt and the wolves provide a grey long sleeve shirt. Little Party Girls, Soldiers, Angels, Lambs, and Cookies may wear their light pink or light blue class leotard under their costumes as long as there is no skirt attached. However, all other dancers will need a skin-toned leotard to wear under costumes, so you will want to get one ahead of time. We have one available on the Benicia Ballet store along with other dancewear supplies: https://beniciaballettheatre.logodancewear.com/. The proceeds from our store all go directly to helping our productions and scholarship fund! Amazon also has one with a few different skin-toned options here: https://a.co/d/82uJdUQ. They can also be purchased at Contra Costa Dancewear in Walnut Creek, or on discountdance.com.
For the party scene, all Party Girls and Little Party Girls will be wearing a ringlet ponytail hair piece. A photo from previous performances is attached for your reference. If your dancer has not already been matched with a hairpiece from the studio, they will either need to see if there is one at the studio they are able to use or you also have the option of buying your own. Additionally, we do not have many dark colored hairpieces, so if your dancer has dark hair you may want to get your own. Even if your dancer does not have dark hair, it's nice to get one that matches their hair color really well if you can. You can find them at Tina's Beauty Supply in Vallejo, but they also have some online. The most important thing if you're buying your own is that it has a drawstring hairnet with combs attached, not a claw clip, so that it can be secured over your dancer's bun. See attached photos of that as well.
The ringlet ponytail hair piece needs to be secured with lots of extra bobby pins. It is quite disappointing when your hair falls off onstage!
Here is one on Amazon:
For Little Party Girls or those with fine hair, look for one that is a little lighter weight-wise or try something like this:
Lastly, remember to check out the BBT Youtube to review and practice choreography at home!
