Full Swan Lake Rehearsal Schedule, Updates, & More!


Hello BBT families!


All of our dancers have been working hard in the studio with only 5 weekends of rehearsals to go!  As we get closer to the shows, you can expect more emails/information from myself and the BBT board, so make sure to check in frequently and let me know if you have any questions!  There's a lot of information in this email, so please review carefully.


Rehearsals:

Please see the attached rehearsal schedule through the weekend of the shows and check for the dates/times that correspond with your dancer's roles.  If you know your dancer will be absent from a rehearsal, please let me know in advance as rehearsal time is limited with only 5 rehearsal weekends until the show!  There will be no classes or rehearsals April 12-18th for Spring Break. We start rehearsals back up on Saturday, April 19th.


Our full run through at the studio is scheduled for Saturday, May 3rd, 1:00-6:00pm.  All dancers and cast members are required to attend this rehearsal.  Village Girls/Cygnets are excused early at 3:00pm and Swan Flappers/Village Youth are excused at 4:00pm. It is a long day, so please send your dancer with a labeled water bottle and snacks to eat in their downtime.


Please remember there will be a dress rehearsal at Vacaville Performing Arts Theatre the evening of Friday, May 9th.  More details and call times coming soon!


Ticket Sales:

Tickets are on sale starting Tuesday, April 1st!  Invite your friends and family to our 2 performances at Vacaville Performing Arts Theatre: Saturday, May 10th at 1:00pm and 5:00pm.  It is a lovely production for all ages!  Get your tickets here: Vacaville Performing Arts Theatre Website


Fundraising

As a reminder, the See's Candies fundraiser is ongoing until Friday, April 4th at 9:00pm. We also have a new fundraiser for Mrs. Field's Cookies from April 1st-22nd. Direct donations are also accepted. Please be sure to include the dancer’s name. There is also an option of an $80 buyout if you do not want to participate in fundraising. 


Youtube:

We have been uploading videos of rehearsals to the BBT Youtube channel.  This is a great tool to help with remembering choreography and practicing tricky parts of the dance!  Please remember to not share these videos with anyone outside of BBT or to social media.  It is a private channel used for rehearsal purposes only.


Summer Programs

Registration is open for our summer programs on the Benicia Ballet website! 

  • Twilight camp for ages 4-7; no dance experience needed,  $150 / week

  • Dance camp for ages 8-11; no dance experience needed, $225 / week

  • Dance Intensive for ages 11-18 (with instructor approval),  $275 / week 

This is a really fun way to continue dancing throughout the summer with friends, all culminating in an amazing performance on Saturday, August 2nd!
